Jamaica, New York – A casino patron hits a $43 million jackpot, but it turns out to be a slot machine error

Katrina Bookman could hardly believe her luck when the Sphinx slot machine that she was playing at flashed the message; “Printing cash ticket $42, 949, 672.76”. As casino staff and patrons noticed her win and began to gather around the slot machine, Bookman was swiftly escorted off the casino floor by security. Asking a casino employee what had she won, he replied, “You didn’t win nothing.” Apparently, the slot machine with a maximum jackpot prize of $6,500 had malfunctioned and erroneously flashed a winning multi-million dollar jackpot. After explaining the slot machine malfunction to Bookman, Resorts World Casino management offered her a free steak dinner and her $2.25 win. Bookman was not impressed with the casino and has acquired the services of a lawyer.
